ABOUT US

This 2024 / 2025 season is our 37th annual offering and humbly, we just keep getting better!
Speaking personally, having a film presented to you rather than doomscrolling through the streaming service of your choice is an utter joy.
Thanks to the continuing commitment of our faithful members, we will be returning to the All Saints Centre for our 37th season on Friday 20th September 2024 with our much enjoyed programme of classics, new features and documentaries.

Lewes Film Club is run by volunteer film enthusiasts and is a non-profit making venture. Our aim is to bring an interesting and varied range of arthouse, classic and foreign films not normally shown at commercial cinemas to the residents of Lewes and the surrounding area at very low prices!

The club was formed back in 1986 by a group of volunteers who wanted to show some films in the All Saints Centre Arts Centre in Lewes when there was no cinema. We began by showing films in 16mm and the club converted to 35mm in 1992. In 2007 with the help of a lottery grant from Awards for All we purchased a digital projector which extended the scope of our programme.

The venue is the All Saints Centre, Friars Walk. Lewes BN7 2LE

Guest speakers are always welcome.
